Visiting the Area?Atlantic Village is situated in Bideford, North Devon. The town itself is ancient in origin and the bridge across the Torridge dates from the 12th Century. A thriving port it was once one of the main quays for tobacco importation. The beautiful coastal town of Clovelly is just up the coast as is Westward Ho! (made famous by Charles Kingsley’s novel of the same name). To the north on the Cornish Coast is Bude – famous as a mecca for surfers. Close to Atlantic Village are The Big Sheep and The Milky Way visitor attractions, gardens and areas of natural beauty abound, the National Trust now own the spectacular Lydford Gorge and Arlington Court and the Royal Horticultural Society opens its Rosemoor Garden to the public.
